WKD Halloween Activity Will Work a Treat

Halloween celebrations might be a little different this year but WKD – the UK’s no.1 RTD(1) – has activity to both support on-trade customers and to engage and reward consumers.

Bringing a much-needed glimpse of fun to on-trade outlets, thousands of WKD Cocktail Cauldrons from which to serve Halloween-themed cocktails are being given away free to stockists by brand owner SHS Drinks. The moulded cauldrons are complete with authentic-looking feet for stability, and a pouring lip.

The full kits comprise cauldrons, point-of-sale materials, and cocktail-mixing guides suggesting a range of suitably spooky serves.

In addition to the in-outlet activity, a Halloween-based social media campaign themed ‘Find Your Dark Side’ will focus on profiling WKD Dark Fruit, the new flavour variant launched in 2020. Reaching over one million consumers via WKD’s social channels, the online activity will include a range of humorous Halloween vignettes featuring witches and zombies, and competitions offering consumers chances to win their very own cocktail cauldrons and a range of other merchandise.

Alison Gray, head of alcohol marketing at SHS Drinks, says: “Halloween is going to be unlike any other this year but we’re still doing our bit to help stockists create a little in-outlet fun and also reward those consumers who can’t get to the pub in person this year.”
