Nestor Rolls Out Eco-Friendly Products in the Carlyle Building – Hospitality Specialist Strives for

Nestor, a hospitality business in the alternative accommodation sector, has been appointed to manage The Carlyle building in Earl’s Court, and is using it as a model for environmentally friendly practices in the serviced apartment sector.

The Carlyle, in Earl’s Court SW5, has 12 apartments, with two-beds starting at £200 per night. Each apartment has been beautifully refurbished by Visu Verum Interiors, incorporating modern fittings and elegant design pieces.

Nestor provides The Carlyle guests with ethical brands such as Who Gives a Crap toilet paper and Noble Isle vegan toiletries, as well as seasonal welcome treats from local, responsibly sourced brands. Every item in the apartments is chosen with sustainability in mind and provided in refillable jars and bottles. To eliminate paper waste, Nestor has installed QR codes throughout The Carlyle to provide guests with thoughtful content (that can be accessed via their mobile phone), including house manuals and local recommendation guides.

Fran Milsom, co-founder and director of Nestor, comments: “We have been researching environmental products as part of a longer term sustainability plan for the buildings we manage and feel that The Carlyle really aligns with our desire to be as eco-friendly as possible. Not only that, but it fits with our ethos of being technologically advanced, in a great location, with appealing design so we are delighted to be managing it.

“Since launch, the pickup has been much better than we could have planned, with lots of bookings and consistently high occupancy rates, and we expect that to continue. The Carlyle is ideal for both the leisure and the corporate market - we are offering both mid and short-term rentals, addressing the growing desire for flexibility in corporate travel and the wider alternative accommodation sector. The Carlyle launch is part of our wider plan to expand into this sector and we will be announcing more like this in due course.”

Nestor is committed to going above and beyond to provide guests with an exceptional stay. Creating in depth local guides, handwritten welcome postcards and high quality, eco-friendly toiletries and welcome packs are just some of the ways Nestor are leading in guest satisfaction. The installation of Smartlocks[1] at The Carlyle offers total flexibility and around the clock guest support is offered through a number of platforms, including WhatsApp and live chat through the Nestor website. The results are apparent in guest reviews - The Carlyle has already achieved a 9/10 rating on Booking.com.

The Carlyle is situated in the heart of Earl’s Court in the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is located within 1.2 miles of the Natural History Museum and 1.2 miles of Olympia Exhibition centre. Earl’s Court station is just 0.3 miles away with access to the tube and bus network. Managed by Nestor, these apartments are available to book via the Nestor website, Booking.com, Airbnb and other platforms.
