The latest vendors to join the hotly anticipated Boxpark are brand new street food concepts KoolCha.

Boxpark Wembley will open to the public at 11am on December 8th 2018.

The Indian comfort food concept KoolCha is the brainchild of Michelin star chef Rohit Ghai and his business partner Abhishake Sangwan.

KoolCha will serve up an extensive all-day menu of delicacies reminiscent of the chef’s childhood memories, the highlight being traditional North Indian “Kulcha” flatbreads, filled with unique and innovative flavours and served alongside a delicious selection of homemade pickles, dal, raitas and chutneys.

Visitors to KoolCha can expect to see some of Rohit’s secret family recipes given a contemporary twist, as well as an exotic drink and cocktail menu highlighting signature hot and cold fruit iced teas and innovative cocktails and Indian beers.

Rohit Ghai’s reputation amongst the London restaurant scene is of the highest culinary pedigree, having honed his craft at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in India.

Chef Rohit and Abhi have headed a number of successful operations including Gymkhana, Bombay Bustle and Jamavar, where Chef Rohit was awarded a Michelin star within the first ten months of the restaurant’s opening, an enormous achievement that no other Indian chef has reached in this time frame.

KoolCha is the second solo venture for Ghai and Sangwan following the launch of Kutir, their fine dining restaurant in Chelsea this month.

Rohit Ghai, Co- Founder and Executive Chef, KoolCha said: “I have had the great fortune to work with Abhishake Sangwan over the last decade and we both felt we were ready for the next challenge. KoolCha will be a new Pan-Indian restaurant concept that promises to reinvigorate the Indian food space. We are excited to launch KoolCha at Boxpark Wembley which will provide a great platform for our brainchild concept to flourish as part of London’s most exciting casual dining community.”

KoolCha is the most recent addition to the Boxpark Wembley lineup, sitting alongside other recent sign-ups: Boki, TapaVino, WOLF, Gabagools, Oatopia, Bombay Burrito, Hola Guacamole, Cut + Grind, The Athenian, Mitsuryu, Zucla, Mama Jacq’s, Nanny Bills, Smoky Boys, Kabab, Spice Shack, Zia Lucia, Ugly Dumpling and Thai Express.

Roger Wade, Founder and CEO of Boxpark, said: “We’re thrilled to announce that KoolCha will be launching at Boxpark Wembley. KoolCha’s Chef Rohit has worked at an impressive number of world class restaurants and we have no doubt that KoolCha will be no different. Who knows, could this be the first Michelin star for Boxpark?”

Living up to its Eat. Drink. Play. manifesto, the incredible selection of independent food and beverage units at Boxpark Wembley will be complemented by a fully programmed 20,000 sq ft dedicated events space complete with algorithmic light installations.

Councillor Shama Tatler, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Highways and Planning, said: “We are delighted to have Boxpark here in Wembley. We’ve seen its success in other places and we are happy to have the first that is entirely indoors, so our residents and visitors can truly enjoy continuous entertainment, along with great food and drink. Boxpark will open many opportunities for Brent residents and will help to make Wembley Park an all year-round destination, attracting more visitors to our great range of surrounding local businesses.”
