The clocks have gone back, Halloween is done and dusted so let’s now step into Christmas. Most venues throughout the UK are now fully focused on the build up to the festive season and the essential revenue that it brings.

It appears a very positive Budget for the hospitality sector which is welcomed after so much uncertainty. A freeze in the rate of beer, cider and spirits duty will really help avoid an additional squeeze on the industry.

Lanchester Wines give us the Christmas wine conundrum. Venues throughout the land will be tinkering wine lists to match that all important food menu. Ian Richardson provides some top tips on what wine to offer customers if you want to stand out from the crowd.

Christmas has truly arrived at Backyard Cinema. The immersive cinema pioneers will be doing more than just playing winter favourites this year. Popping up at Winterville as part of London’s alternative festive experience on Clapham Common is Christmas Labyrinth. In addition they have also paired up with Penguin Ventures to showcase exclusive launch of The Snowman™ Experience to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the classic story known and loved by all. If you’re looking to try hosting something a little different this festive season taking a leaf out of their book wouldn’t be a bad idea.
