Win a Trip to South Africa with Whitley Neill Gin in the Northern Restaurant & Bar Cocktail Comp

Entries are now open for Northern Restaurant & Bar’s annual cocktail competition, sponsored by Whitley Neill Gin, with the chance to win a once in a lifetime VIP visit to South Africa including a safari!

Competitors must submit one unique drink containing a minimum of 35 ml of any Whitley Neill gin expression and adding inspiration of the gin’s South African influence. Whitley Neill is a handcrafted gin of exceptional quality inspired by the vivid beauty and mystery of Africa, and a never-ending drive for perfection.

Always a lively and packed out event, the annual cocktail competition at Northern Restaurant & Bar has become the stuff of legend and a must-attend event for anyone connected to the drinks industry in the North.

All entries must be submitted online at www.northernrestaurantandbar.co.uk/cocktails by midnight on Tuesday 28 February 2017.

Four finalists, chosen by a blind judging panel of gin experts, will be notified on 13 March 2017 and invited to the final of the competition at Northern Restaurant & Bar in Manchester on Wednesday 22 March 2017. The competition is hosted by Dave Marsland, aka Drinks Enthusiast, and Halewood Wines & Spirits, producer and distributor of Whitley Neill Gin.

The winner will visit South Africa in late 2017 as the guest of Whitley Neill Gin, which has previously beaten off the challenge from the World’s finest gin brands by winning gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2014. The visit will also include a 1 day safari.

The premium Whitley Neill Gin range consists of original Whitley Neill Gin, which is crafted with South African superfruits baobab and cape gooseberry, as well as the new addition to the collection, Whitley Neill Quince Gin, a blend of heady exotic botanicals and real quince juice, inspired by the timeless flavours of Persia.
