Series of late night parties by Amigos set to go down in Day of the Dead history

To celebrate the renowned Mexican traditional holiday, ‘Dia de los Muertos’ (or Day of the Dead), Amigos Tequila Beer is throwing three ultimate late night parties. Held in Manchester, Sheffield and Bristol, the club nights will be conjunction with some of the best independent promoters in the UK.

Specific venues have been selected to host unmissable experiences, taking place in the basement at Underdog (Xolo), Manchester, the legendary warehouse space at Hope Works, Sheffield, and on board The Thekla in Bristol. The events run across Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October, celebrating the death of Halloween, and the rise of Day of the Dead. Social media will be activated to support the campaign, delivering engaging content and videos.

Senior Brand Manager Christian Sarginson said: “We’re really excited to be hosting Day of the Dead parties in three separate cities. We’ve handpicked these venues to provide an unforgettable experience and to celebrate the UKs underground party scene. Through our #streetcerveza campaign we seek to support street culture and Gett Off, Fiesta Bombarda and Inside Out are three brilliant promoters who play a great part in shaping the culture of their respective cities”.

“Amigos Tequila Beer is the perfect drink for these events and we’ll be giving the first 100 people through the door a free bottle to really start off an unforgettable night”.

To support the Day of the Dead party series, Amigos has also launched a special edition four pack into the off-trade channels. The pack gives consumers the chance to win a crate of Amigos to celebrate the festival, with 30 winners to be chosen in total. The Amigos Day of the Dead campaign uses the same sugar skull and marigold, or ‘flor de muerte’, detailed artwork which can be found on pack, posters and across all social media channels, all of which are traditional Mexican symbols used to honour the dead.

Alongside the on-pack competition Amigos will be carrying out innovative, guerrilla style marketing in student areas; distributing posters which if displayed prominently or published on social media, hold the chance of winning crates of Amigos.

Amigos Tequila Beer is a golden, easy-drinking beer with the zing of South American limes and the flavour punch of Mexican tequila. Inspired by Mexican vibrancy, Amigos strives to support street culture as it continues its #streetcerveza campaign into the end of 2016 and beyond.

Tickets for the events are available online as well as from participating venues.
