Vimto Out of Home Brand Starslush Extends Biggest Ever Promotion



Vimto Out of Home has announced it is extending its biggest ever Starslush promotion – ‘Slurpers vs. Scoopers’ – to support the out of home sector throughout Halloween and Christmas.


Promoted on the cup and via eye-catching POS in venue, the activation is designed to help operators drive their frozen drinks sales during two of the year’s biggest consumer-spending occasions in Out of Home. Halloween is the third favourite evening out for the UK behind New Year’s Eve and Christmas[1].


The promotion supports Starslush’s new range of paper cups, and paper spoon straws, to reduce plastic waste.


‘Slurpers vs. Scoopers’ gives consumers the chance to win prizes every day, ranging from Amazon vouchers up to a pair of Beats by Dre headphones. To enter, customers simply scan the QR code on their Starslush cup and answer the question – ‘Are you a slurper or a scooper?’


Brand Manager Becky Woodhall, Vimto Out of Home, said: “Slurpers vs Scoopers taps into the rise in gamification and the fact people love a bit of healthy rivalry.


“We’ve given out prizes every day since our initial summer launch, and we’re now extending the promotion into Halloween and Christmas. Our impactful and themed POS will help consumers celebrate key moments with a Starslush, at a time when everyone is looking for a special treat and a bit of escapism – with the added pull of being in with a chance of winning a daily prize.”
