Venue Insight July Issue OUT NOW
It’s hard to argue that there are many better places to be than the UK when the sun is beating down. Yes we’re in the middle of a cost of living crisis, yes the government is in absolute turmoil, and yes the hospitality industry is still by no means firing on all cylinders after the impact of the last couple of years, but by god the hot sun, hazy days and light evenings makes the world a better place.
The UK’s original urban axe-throwing brand Whistle Punks continues to lead the industry from the front with a new flagship location 300m from Oxford Circus Tube. It is officially set to be Europe’s biggest axe-throwing venue with nine lanes, an extensive bar area and an all-new kitchen serving delicious sourdough pizza. The new venue launches on 1st September.
Event season is in full swing, and one not to be missed on Saturday 20th August is the crazy Elrow Town - one of the most unique outdoor party settings to take place in the UK. This year's stages will be going all out once more, with two huge big top tents and three outdoor stages with the mighty main stage creating the spectacle of the town. Confetti cannons, fireworks, and all the moving parts make the main stage come to life as day turns to night.
We hear from Nick Dudley‑Williams, Managing Partner at Barfly - the global, strategic drinks consultancy, on the ever changing draught landscape. The idea that beer will continue to dominate draught looks like an increasingly fragile perspective.
Making the most of your outdoor space is vital, and not just in the warmer months, it’s an all year round task. The process of transforming your space starts with considering what you want to use the space for, this will then determine what sort of cover will be required. It is at this stage that you will need to call in a specialist, that’s where Indigo Awnings come in, the experts.
Cheers
