SmartDispense™ Launches Debate Series To Help Operators Improve Energy Efficiency and Sustainability

Following the success of the inaugural SmartDispense™ Energy Well Spent Summit earlier this year, the UK’s leading draught dispense technology system from HEINEKEN is today announcing the launch of the SmartDispense™ Energy Well Spent Debate Series. This series of panel discussions is the next phase of commitment from the brand to encourage conversation, collaboration and knowledge sharing on the topics impacting hospitality.

The first three episodes in the series – live from 18th October – will focus on the following:

EPISODE 1

18 October – How can back-of-house changes positively impact your energy usage?

EPISODE 2

1 November – How to save money and meet increased consumer demand to be more sustainable?

EPISODE 3

15 November – How to prepare for new EPC legislation?

Each episode will focus on a variety of changes that can be made to business operations, offering practical advice from both industry experts and operators recognised for their leadership in sustainable practices.

The panels involve operators recognised for their sustainability credentials, including award-winning Peach Pubs, The Camelot and Duke of Cambridge, plus The Lamb and Revolution Bars featured in the SmartDispense™ Green Pub Guide. The series also features experts from the BBPA, Zero Carbon Forum, Blue+Yellow and Future Net Zero.

Richard Stephens, Head of SmartDispense™ and Technical Services at HEINEKEN UK comments: “The Energy Well Spent Summit really brought home just how important these conversations are. We know that we don’t yet have all the answers but, by enabling collaboration, we hope to bring the industry closer together and share valuable information that can genuinely save operators time, money and energy."

Steve Livens, Policy Manager, BBPA comments: “It’s a time of change like no other for the beer and pub industry right now, and it doesn’t show signs of easing off. I wanted to be involved in the Energy Well Spent project because I know publicans and brewers need answers and guidance and the more we can discuss and share knowledge and learnings, the more chance we have of helping members find ways to make crucial savings within their businesses.”

The series will be available to view via the SmartDispense™ website, along with all content from the Energy Well Spent Summit – available now. The episodes will go live on the following dates, 18th October, 1st November and 15th November, with all available to watch as a video or on the move as a podcast.
