NDML Announces the Yorkshire Nightlife Awards Winners

Leading insurance broker to the night-time industry, NDML, has announced the winners of the Yorkshire Nightlife Awards.
· Winners across all categories including Best Bar, Nightclub, Restaurant, Start-Up Business and Nightlife Personality have been announced
· Over 120 nominations were submitted by members of the public
· The final decision was made by leaders within the night-time industry
NDML announced the launch of the Yorkshire Nightlife Awards in August 2020 as a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the night-time industry.
Nominations were opened up to members of the public. Over 120 people took the time to tell NDML why their favourite bar, restaurant, club, start-up and nightlife personality was the very best in the Yorkshire region. Reasons for nominating ranged from heart-warming tales through to hilarious anecdotes. One thing’s certain, though: members of the public were proud to celebrate their favourite nightlife venues and the people behind them.
Once a shortlist was decided, final winners were chosen by the competition’s four judges: Paul Kinsey (owner of Harewood Group), Michael Kill (CEO of the Night Time Industries Association), Victoria Romero-Trigo (Finance Director of NDML) and Ollie Calvert (Head of Brand at NDML).
Winners were decided based on the quality of their nominations, reputation within the industry and high levels of customer service.
· Best Bar: The Maven and Mojo Bar
· Best Nightclub: Acapulco
· Best Restaurant: Reds True BBQ
· Best Start-Up: We Love Quiz
· Best Nightlife Personality: Marigold Addams
Each winner will receive a certificate announcing their achievement, which they can proudly display in their venues.
Victoria Romero-Trigo, Finance Director at NDML, says: “We’ve all seen the night-time industry struggle throughout 2020. It’s been a challenging year but venues have fought back and continue to work hard to support their customers and employees. Our Yorkshire Nightlife Awards have been a great opportunity to celebrate this hard work and to offer a glimpse of positivity during such difficult times.”
