Groubook Acquire StudentSphere – Canada’s #1 Student Ticketing Platform



Groubook, the UK’s first platform dedicated to group bookings has acquired StudentSphere, the #1 student ticketing provider in Canada for an undisclosed sum.


Groubook completed the acquisition last week. The acquisition is a strategic move for Groubook as they continue to expand into new regions with a high priority on their student business. The acquisition is teased to see Groubook move into the UK ticketing market whilst expanding the impressive reputation that StudentSphere have in Canada.



As well as specialising in group bookings, Groubook have a strongly led student business and process thousands of student bookings a month for hospitality operators, since the lifting of lockdown restrictions the company have re-focussed their energies and are aiming to become the market leader in pre-booking’s for nights out. Groubook’s student business partners with the platform to make nights out more affordable, simpler, and more rewarding and the company has seen partnerships set up with several student unions and partners with some of the UK’s leading bars, restaurants, activity providers and pub groups.

StudentSphere was founded in 2011 and since then has become the market leader for student tickets in Canada generating millions of dollars a year for event organisers and saving them thousands in overpriced commissions, the platform was designed for Students to organise and sell tickets in a simpler way.
