ACE Pizza is excited to announce a new residency “ACE Under The Arches” at The Five Points Taproom in London Fields.
ACE Pizza have taken over the railway arches and created their own outdoor pizza restaurant complete with neon-laden pizza shack. They’ll be serving up their usual stone baked, slow proofed, and well-topped light and crispy NY-Neapolitan pizzas - and the menu will also feature some brand new pizzas including the Hackney Hawaiian, plus regular specials and one off collaborations as well as brand new dishes all cooked from the wood fired oven.
Expect the usual innovative approach to unique, seasonal toppings; an exciting and extensive vegan range; and all-new specials that will be exclusive to The Taproom.

In addition to ACE Under The Arches, the Five Points Taproom has a number of exciting events planned throughout the summer. On 24th and 25th July, the space will be welcoming London seafood specialists Decatur, who will be serving their famous Louisiana-inspired seafood boils and chargrilled oysters, as well as one-off collaborations with ACE Pizza. In August, the venue will be hosting a British Hopped Beer Festival, celebrating the very best of British hops with guest breweries including Donzoko Brewing, Utopian & Boxcar, and later in the year, it will be launching an indoor Taproom bar. The venue hosts DJs every weekend - including Hackney’s MOTH Club DJs every Saturday - and is screening the Euros during July on a giant outdoor screen
In another upcoming event, Five Points is giving away a FREE beer in exchange for donations to The Hackney Foodbank; customers simply book a table between Thursday 22nd & Sunday 25th July and bring donations (see a full list of suggested items here) on the day.
Commenting on the launch, Five Points Co-Founder, Ed Mason said: “We love ACE Pizza, and we love their attention to detail. Their 48-hour cold fermented dough makes for a delicious pizza crust, and their flavours and ingredients combinations are incredible. Having worked with them at our pub The Pembury Tavern, they were our first choice when it came to inviting a food brand to join us at our new open-air Hackney Taproom this summer.”
ACE Pizza is headed up by Executive Chef and Co-Founder Rachel Jones, formerly of Italian-American street food company, Capish. Rachel comments:“I’m so excited to launch our new outdoor pizza restaurant, ACE Under The Arches. We’re incredibly grateful we were able to continue over the past year, serving our pizzas via delivery and takeaway however launching a brand new site in our home Hackney where we are able to serve people directly from our new pizza shack, feels like a very joyous moment for us. We can’t wait for people to try some of our new pizzas. We’ve got some pretty exciting collaboration events in the pipeline too!”
Having first launched in the legendary Hackney pub The Pembury Tavern, East Londoners will be well aware that ACE Pizza’s ‘New York-Neapolitan’ pizza is the perfect pairing for Five Points’ flavoursome craft brews.
Working with local graphic designer Personality Crisis, ACE Pizza have created a technicolour pizza shack within the arch, complete with pink and yellow festoon lighting, a leopard print pizza oven and a giant neon “A” on a spring, bringing an early 80’s NY vibe to the arch in London Fields. Inspirations came from the NY downtown art scene - Keith Haring / Basquiat / I want my MTV / early Madonna / No Wave / Danceteria / old school hip hop / ESG / Liquid Liquid / Memphis Industries… a total clash of styles, pattern and colour.
The Five Points Taproom has been created to allow over 300 guests to safely eat, drink and maintain social distancing at the same time. Measures for safety and optimised service include welcome hosts (to guide guests to their tables), hand sanitiser stations on entry and throughout the premises, and the implementation of the Five Points On Tap app for speedy table service.
