Backyard Cinema Is Here to Save Christmas With the Return of Festive Magic



Londoners can rejoice - despite the latest restrictions, Christmas isn't cancelled at Backyard Cinema, Backyard Cinema unveiled its festive offering today. With two stunning winter-themed screens and experiences, the home of immersive cinema promises to bring the magic back to 2020. Much more than just a cinema, the converted TV studio will also keep open its incredible drinking and dining spaces for all; home to street food titans, Honest Burgers and Backyard Cinemas own artisan pizza, exquisite cocktails, craft beer and much more. A Christmas experience like no other, with a build-your-own boozy hot chocolate bar, mulled wine and cider, festive live music will provide that extra sprinkle of magic to accompany your favourite seasonal classics that includes Elf, Home Alone, Love Actually, The Muppet Christmas Carol and It’s a Wonderful Life plus many more.

The Snow Kingdom: Opened 1st October  Hidden deep inside Dr Portelli's Curiosity Shop a secret entrance to The Snow Kingdom awaits. Guests will explore the mysterious shop that has a portal to a magical world, complete with an indoor waterfall, to reach their wondrous destination. A winter wonderland lined with Backyard Cinema’s signature giant bean bags, the festive utopia features its own bar, hosting classics and family favourites set to prepare even the biggest of Scrooges for the most wonderful time of the year. First explore the wonders of Dr Portelli's Curiosity Shop to try and find the hidden entrance to The Snow Kingdom. Complete with a magical waterfall for guests to navigate before reaching the cosy indoor cinema, lined with Backyard Cinema’s signature giant bean bags.  The festive utopia features its own bar, hosting classics and family favourites set to prepare even the biggest of Scrooges for the most wonderful time of the year.


After venturing  through the magical wardrobe, film-lovers will find themselves in an enchanted forest, with mystery around every corner. With brand new surprises, new and exciting themed cocktails and double the space inside of the cinema it is set to be a special and magical adventure.


With cosy mezzanine, The Annex, drinking den The Studio Bar and heated open-air favourite, The Yard, the studio won’t be short on opportunities for festive fun. New this year, Create Your Own Boozy Hot Chocolate will be handing guests the sleigh reins on what they drink, with a totally customisable menu set to get drinkers both warm and merry.
