A Unique 17th Century Manor House Will Host a Series of Open-Air Events This Summer

Tofte Manor combines the natural beauty of the UK countryside with the energy and atmosphere of a spiritual sanctuary. The 17th century Manor House, once worked on by the world famous painter Whistler, is also home to a unique labyrinth.

The labyrinth in the garden is a source of peace and inspiration, which copies the design pattern of the ancient labyrinth in Chartes Cathedral, France. The water that runs through the labyrinth, can be drunk and will be served for free to all guests at the venue.

Tofte Manor is a venue unlike any other on the UK circuit and one that will be experienced for the first time by the music community this summer.

Set in the beautiful woodlands of the Bedfordshire countryside, the venue will host three outdoor day festivals this summer promoted exclusively by Labyrinth events.

There are two stages at the venue - the labyrinth stage, positioned by the labyrinth in the gardens and the treehouse stage, where artists will play from under a treehouse in the woods.

The site is a 15-minute taxi from Bedford station and a 35-minute train journey from London St Pancras and also a short train journey from Nottingham, Leicester and all of the Midlands.

The first show at the venue will be announced shortly, with tickets going on sale on April 1st. The dates confirmed are July 10th, August 7th and September 18th.

A comment from the founders Nick Castleman and Michael Dicks:

Our business is built on the vision that fans want to experience music in unique settings. We want to find venues that truly excite our audience and allow us to work with some of the leading talent in the world.

This venue is unlike anything that is possible to find in Greater London and gives us the opportunity to realise our vision, that is restricted when using limited capacity venues in London and having to compete with corporate beasts for talent bookings.

Tofte Manor gives us the opportunity to move away from the crowded London scene and offer our audience a totally unique music and lifestyle experience unlike anything else in the UK.

We will be working closely with the local community to ensure that the events generate as much revenue as possible to the surrounding villages of Sharnbrook and Souldrop and have nothing but a positive impact on the neighbourhood.

We’re thrilled to be bringing globally recognised artists to Bedfordshire.
