The Great British Drive in Event Space

This Summer a collective of event organisers come together with one of Staffordshire’s most exclusive venues; Sandon Hall. Together they have created a Drive In Entertainment venue to feast, entertain, educate and unite the 165 cars they can accommodate per screening. Together with Digbeth Dining Club they will create a 10 week long Festival of film, live entertainment and the finest street food around.
With a 100 square metre LED Screen ensuring a world class production in the beautiful setting of the grounds of Sandon Hall, Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to watch some of the finest stories told over the past 100 years on the big screen.

Social Distancing measures have been carefully considered and implemented to ensure this is a safe experience for all.
With Covid 19 restrictions still in place there are Drive in cinemas launching all over the UK but most run for only a weekend. The Great British Drive In runs 6 days a week (Tues - Sun) over the summer with a varied program for all and have the highest quality LED screen that is potentially one of the largest around at 100 Sq Metres. This means films in the daytime will be just as good quality as at night. For those who really want the night time experience there will be Saturday nights under the stars.
The team behind The Great British Drive In have found all of their event work cancelled for the remainder of 2020 from the Tutankhamun Exhibition in London to NFL London Games to the award winning ‘Best Experience in London 2018’ Immersive dining experience, The Murder Express. Sandon Hall have also seen postponements in their summer event calendar, which has been devastating for many of the brides & grooms planning their weddings at the venue. With this in mind they have decided to turn their skills and passion of working with world class events & film festivals all over the world to their home to create a summer long program of film, live entertainment & great food with the support of a very welcoming Sandon Hall & Digbeth Dining Club (DDC). Digbeth Dining Club have recently opened their click and collect service in Hockley, Birmingham with great success, innovating how they can safely serve their guests with the quality they are renowned for during Social Distancing.

Doors Open 1hr - 1.5hrs (film dependent) before the films starts so there is plenty of time to park and enjoy your food which can be ordered online or at the venue. Then sit back, relax and enjoy the film. The Audio plays through an FM transmitter so will play through the car radio or any portable radio. All Events are ticketed which can be booked on the website - www.TheGBDriveIn.com

If you want to laugh we have comedy, if you want to entertain the kids out of the house we’ll keep them entertained. We have bollywood, hollywood and some of the most important documentaries created to educate, enlighten and become more aware of the world around us that we may not otherwise be exposed to. To be able to experience
these films and events against the stunning back drop of Sandon Hall is a real treat and promises to be an excellent experience for all. We are also delighted to be working with Digbeth Dining Club on our food offering Thursday’s through to Sunday’s. DDC have deservedly created a great reputation for excellence and quality in the dining industry and we are really excited to be collaborating with them on The Great British Drive In.
The organisers will also be using their new online temporary staffing app they have been working on during lockdown to staff the event www.izero.work if people are interested in working at the event please email info@TheGbDriveIn.com for more details.
During the last few months, we have seen loss, despair yet resoluteness, strength, determination and courage with bravery, great acts of kindness and people coming together from all walks of life during the global pandemic.
The Great British Drive In will celebrate those wonderful positive British values of helping thy neighbour, standing tall and keeping calm amidst the chaos. It also celebrates the rich diversity that being British means in 2020 and what they believe makes Britain Great in 2020. The aim is to be united as we move forward in an ever evolving world so they have created a varied entertainment program that they hope positively engages everyone within our society and embraces everyone by welcoming one and all with open arms at The Great British Drive In.
