First look at Backyard Cinema's LA Nights theme at Camden Roundhouse

London's themed cinema experts, Backyard Cinema, have opened the doors at Camden’s Roundhouse for an ‘all singing, all dancing’ retro, West Coast show: L.A Nights. Featuring the biggest Sing-A-Long beach parties in town this summer, adult only Slush Puppie cocktails, musical mash-ups from DJ Jaguar Skills and dazzling light shows for each screening.

Backyard Cinema are inviting guests to let loose and join them on the sunny Californian coast this summer. Transforming Camden's Roundhouse into L.A.’s legendary Venice Beach over July and August, guests are welcomed with towering palm trees, a retro beach bar, classic West Coast tunes and a sea of giant bean bags on the sand. A rain-free summer cinema experience is guaranteed as L.A. Nights has its very own roof, and it’s packed so full of extras you might even forget there’s a film: adult only Slush Puppie cocktails, a pre-show of musical mash-ups produced by DJ Jaguar Skills, bespoke vegan ice cream, its very own beer crafted by Gipsy Hill Brewing Company and loads more surprises.

Backyard Cinema’s famous ‘Sing-A-Long Beach Parties’ will invite ticket holders to jump up and join in with fellow cinema goers, singing their favourite movie soundtracks to their heart's content, dancing freely in the sand. Guests will even have a chance to win themselves two flights to L.A. courtesy of the Los Angeles Tourism Board by simply sharing photos of themselves at the event. Temperatures are set to soar at Backyard Cinema this summer, with a classic list of films such as The Greatest Showman, Grease, A Star Is Born, Bohemian Rhapsody, Clueless, Mean Girls plus many more gracing an 8 metre LED screen - their biggest yet! Guests won't be able to refrain from bellowing out their favourite movie soundtracks and showing off their dance moves in the aisle, with the slightly braver guests trying out their best attempt at the iconic Dirty Dancing lift.
