Brockmans Gin has appointed a Brand Ambassador to represent the company in Scotland. Gavin Millar (aged 30), who lives in Irvine has worked in the drinks sector for over 10 years. Most recently, he was Business Development Manager for Harviestoun Brewery based in Alva; Assistant Manager & Head Bartender for Elliots in Prestwick with a role as a rum ambassador; prior to which he worked as a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor for a hotel with 2 bars and as .Head Bartender for a bowling club. He trained as a designer and has Wine & Sprit Education Trust training.

In his new role, he will support many of the consumer-facing activities - such as gin tastings - which are managed by the senior UK Brockmans Brand Ambassador, Mike Whatmough. He will also be the key contact for many of Brockmans' top Scottish on-premise accounts.

Mike Whatmough said: "From the start, Scottish hotels, restaurants and bars have embraced Brockmans Gin and so have their customers. Scotland of course has a long history of understanding and appreciating complex flavours because of the whisky heritage. Therefore, when we launched over a decade ago, discerning drinkers in Scotland were amongst the first to understand what our innovative brand was doing to shake up the then-predicable gin industry. Ours is one of the fastest growing super-premium gins in the UK and so I and our other Brand Ambassador, John Bagnall - who covers the south of the UK - needed another colleague to serve Scotland. We are thrilled to welcome Gavin to the team. He brings to this newly created role a wealth of experience as well as great enthusiasm for Brockmans Gin".

Gavin Millar said: "I am very excited to be working with Brockmans. This is a gin I just love and I'm keen to ensure that even more people have the chance to taste it. It is of course already hugely popular in Scotland. I will now be working to bring this gin to an even wider audience"
