As the nation is gripped by the freezing weather, our cover stars WMF Coffee Machines warm things and provide some invaluable advice on how your venue can keep up with the coffee shop boom.

Fireball keep things nice and toasty with our latest live music feature. Resident rockers Skiv headed to The Harp Restrung in Folkestone on the Kent coast. With January being a notoriously quiet month in the sector this venue has bucked the trend somewhat. Give live music and local talent a try if you haven’t already.

Valentine’s Day gives venues a nice boost and with that in mind, Brockmans the gin ‘like no other’ have put together two beautiful cocktails so you can introduce the colours of passion and romance into your Valentine’s Day cocktail menu this year.

The hospitality event season is shaping up nicely and we’ve got two great shows for you; ScotHot in Glasgow and Northern Restaurant & Bar in Manchester. Now in its 46th year ScotHot is Scotland’s leading trade event for the food, drink, hospitality and tourism industries and is taking place at the SEC in Glasgow on the 13th and 14th March. NR&B19 returns for its nineteenth year at Manchester Central on 19th & 20th March. NR&B19 is the place for leading operators, suppliers and industry figures to meet, speak and do business.

We have a cracking Q&A with Kimberley Daal of the newly established KPS Pub Company who have just opened up with the homely Foxglove in Angel, Islington, N1. If you’re looking for a bit of inspiration and have ideas on going it alone then look no further.

February is a great time to reflect and start planning for the coming. With that in mind we’ve caught up with Lanchester Wines’ Tom Ochoa to ask him the vital questions of ‘What does the UK wine trade look like in 2019 and beyond?’ And, importantly, ‘How does this affect your business?’

Cheers
