Matthew Clark and Pernod Ricard Partner to Launch 'We Love Gin' Initiative

To help licensees maximise sales, leading drinks wholesaler Matthew Clark has announced the launch of a ‘We Love Gin’ accreditation, in partnership with Pernod Ricard. This new initiative will help customers ensure that gin and tonics are made perfectly for every drinking occasion.

The UK is predicted to be the fastest‐growing gin market in the world, growing by 41% in the past five years[1]. Last year alone, the UK consumed 1.32 billion Gin and Tonics[2], meaning that 70% of all gin serves are with tonic water[3]. These figures demonstrate how it is now more important than ever to ensure a high quality and consistent level of serve when making a Gin and Tonic for the increasingly savvy consumer.

The ‘We Love Gin’ accreditation involves staff training, events, and kits, which include essential tools such as garnish stations, branded glassware, tongs and a Perfect Serve booklet. Whether an outlet has a large range of gins available, or is simply seeking to explore the category further, the ‘We Love Gin’ accreditation provides all the tools needed to tap into the significant sales opportunity gin presents.

Ali Mather, Customer Account Manager, at Pernod Ricard comments: “We’re really excited to launch the ‘We Love Gin’ ethos with Matthew Clark, providing both consumers and customers with a simple solution in the quest for a perfect serve Gin and Tonic.
