Desperados Brings The World's Smallest Festival Stage to London

The festival season is tantalisingly close but it’s not quite here yet. For anyone that can’t wait to make their annual pilgrimage to the forests and fields of the UK, Desperados is condensing the very best of the outdoor festival experience and bringing it to the heart of an indoor London venue to create the smallest festival stage that fans will have ever experienced. And best of all it won’t have any of the usual festival drawbacks … the biggest being the unpredictable British weather!

This summer Desperados are going to ‘Reclaim the Party’ at festivals across the UK, celebrating DIY parties, homemade sound systems, and the people and parties that keep on pushing the UK club scene forward. The first event will be on Wednesday 16th May party in the heart of London at Kachette in Shoreditch.

For one night only, music fans will be able to ‘Reclaim the Festival’ and party on their own terms in a raw, outdoor / indoor wilderness rave, complete with mini stage, wild greenery, straw flooring, lasers, tents, a refreshing evening mist, and other familiar touches from some of the UK’s most loved rural festivals. Even though the event is small, some exciting performances have been lined up from artists appearing at festivals around the world, including:

Tough Love: A British duo consisting of Alex and Stef. Tough Love is best known for their debut single "So Freakin' Tight", which peaked to number 11 on the UK Singles Chart. They have also produced acclaimed remixes for Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne.

Karma Kid: A joyous House DJ who, addition to his own music, has produced for the likes of Lily Allen, Jess Glynne, M.I.A and Dua Lipa. Karma Kid is also part of the band Shy Luv.

Dan Caplen: Dan is a British R&B singer, songwriter and musician who has performed alongside Rudimental, Jess Glynne and Macklemore.

Trutopia: A Tech House Brother duo that have been tipped for great things and are appearing at a number of UK festivals this summer.

Jessica Skye: London based DJ and entrepreneur, who hasn’t gone unnoticed, playing at gigs across the globe as well as having residencies at Ministry of Sound and Soho House.

True to the essence of the DIY music scene that festivals came from, the event will be free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. So, whether you didn’t manage to get a ticket to your favourite event this summer, or you can’t wait for the festival season to begin, Desperados is helping to get the party started early.

Go to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/reclaim-the-party-with-desperados-tickets-45891193796 to register for the event – tickets will be allocated on a first serve basis (over 18s only). Everyone attending will be provided with three drink tokens that can be redeemed from the Desperados bar. And if you don’t secure tickets to this London event you can still catch the Desperados ‘CLUBHOUSE’ at WE ARE FSTVL, BESTIVAL and BOOMTOWN. If a DIY house party is more your scene, Desperados is teaming up with Amazon to create ready-made party packs that include everything you need to recreate the festival experience in your own home.
