Major new trade-only show for the business of coffee

European Coffee Expo, a new speciality coffee event totally dedicated to the business of coffee, tea, soft drinks and related products will take place at London’s Olympia on May 22nd and 23rd 2018.

The show is the product of extensive research, including a major industry-wide survey. Buyers and suppliers alike were unanimous in their support of a trade-only event 100% focused on the business of coffee. The coffee market continues to grow at a rate unsurpassed by most other sectors and is expected to accelerate even further with new outlets opening every week.

Annie Swift, Managing Director, European Coffee Expo, commented, “The event is a first in the UK. It is exclusively for those responsible for purchasing coffee and tea, soft drinks and related products and equipment, soft drinks and accessories. It covers all the significant sectors where coffee is served - cafes, casual dining, fast food, restaurants, hotels, pubs, leisure, commercial offices, retail, contract caterers, travel and more. As well as visitors from the artisan coffee and café sectors, all the other major serious corporate coffee buyers will be in attendance. A heavyweight national and international marketing campaign will ensure attendance from across the UK and a significant number from overseas too.”

European Coffee Expo has the support and active input from a steering panel of senior figures recruited from all the major sectors to shape the event for the maximum benefit of its visitors and exhibitors. These include:

Chris MacEwan, International Head of Coffee, Pret a Manger

Josh Brown, Head of Commercial Development, Harris + Hoole

Ashley Saxton, Director of Food and Beverage, The Langham, London

Chantal Lontay, Manager, Hospitality and Food Proposition, John Lewis

Emma Trim, Fresh Food Hall and Restaurant Manager, Selfridges & Co

In addition to a large exhibition featuring innovative suppliers of equipment, beans, teas, flavours, soft drinks and serving apparatus, European Coffee Expo will also offer a comprehensive conference programme, demonstrations and workshops and an innovation trail.

Swift continued, “With its total focus on coffee (and tea and soft drinks), European Coffee Expo is not a café show but a coffee show. Visitors won’t see food, cakes, furniture or IT - just coffee, equipment and accessories related to the buying, preparation and serving of great coffee, teas and soft drinks.”

Located at London’s Olympia, European Coffee Expo is organised by Quinic Events Ltd, whose senior team has spent many years working on highly successful events in the catering and retail sectors. With a record of close co-operation with the industry, they deliver exhibitions and other events of exceptional commercial value to participants.
