Events company launches one of a kind new structure

A Birmingham company has launched a one of a kind new temporary events structure.

Contemporary Event Structures (CES), a specialist provider of unique temporary event spaces and event management services, introduced its stunning Hybrid Multi-Deck® structure to the industry last week.

The Hayward Industrial Park-based company, which works with firms including Microsoft, Bentley and the BBC, welcomed guests from agencies such as Imagination, The Neale Agency and GES, representing major clients like Shell and Jaguar.

An innovative hybrid design by CES, the Hybrid Multi-Deck® is the perfect blend between the traditional clear-span marquee and the more modern inflatable event structures that CES has built a reputation for designing, manufacturing and installing.

The robust and resilient Hybrid Multi-Deck® system boasts the strength and rigidity of a metal frame; it’s able to withstand hurricane-force winds of 120KMPH – that’s Force 12 on the Beaufort Wind Scale - and carry 100 Ton on the top deck.

However, unwilling to compromise on style, CES’ new structure also provides event managers with the perfect combination by also offering the ease and flexibility of an inflatable event structure – with the bonus of a fantastic terrace on the first floor.

Gavin Miller, CES director, commented: “We designed and built this exciting new system after years of experience in providing high quality inflatable structures. They are sleek, modern looking and rapidly deployable, but they do have a drawback in that they can’t withstand large wind or snow loads. At the same time, we’d also noticed that organisers and agencies were becoming tired of traditional single-skin, clear-span marquees.

“So that’s how the idea of the Hybrid Multi-Deck® system was born; we spotted a gap in the market for a structure that combines the best of both worlds. We wanted to show what could be achieved by pushing the boundaries and this is the happy result. We’re incredibly proud of it and it feels fantastic to have finally introduced it to the world.”

It’s been an exciting year for the CES team, with the launch of the Hybrid Multi-Deck® coming hot on the heels of their announcement that they were branching out into the European events market and opening a new office in Barcelona.

This was CES’ first move towards developing their global reach, with plans to open further international offices later this year.
