Dales of the Unexpected - Carthy & Black launches with range of gin and whisky cream liqueurs
Yorkshire-based drinks producer Intercontinental Brands has added Carthy & Black, a new range of cream liqueurs, to its portfolio.
The collection of Carthy & Black Yorkshire Cream liqueurs includes a velvety whisky variety as well as two unique gin creams – a refreshing ‘original’ version and a lemon gin cream, inspired by the Bettys Tea Room popular lemon and lime cake.

These gin cream liqueurs are made using the award-winning artisan Slingsby Gin from Harrogate, which is created using locally-grown botanicals from the town and has won over 15 prestigious awards since launching in September 2015.
Each variant has been produced using the freshest cream from Paynes Dairies’ in Boroughbridge, Yorkshire. The 17% vol cream liqueurs bring the spectacular landscape of Yorkshire to life using only the finest ingredients.

Marcus Black, co-founder and joint Managing Director comments: Yorkshire and the Dales are home to some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes. The rich, diverse soil yields the interesting and unusual ingredients which go into creating this delicious collection of drinks.
Mike Carthy who joins Marcus as co-founder and Managing Director adds: Inspired by the success of Spirit of Harrogate’s Slingsby Gin, we wanted to create a range of drinks that showcases all that Yorkshire has to offer. We like to push the boundaries with innovation and experimented with new ways in which to give the classic cream liqueur an unexpected twist.
