Hi-Spirits launches Summer Drinks line-up

Hi-Spirits is lining up its portfolio of leading brands to help pub and bar operators make the most of the summer sales opportunity.

With consumers looking for interesting and innovative long drinks as the weather warms up, Hi-Spirits has developed new serves and targeted POS support for a range of brands including Southern Comfort, Buffalo Trace bourbon, Broker’s Gin, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and RedLeg Spiced Rum.

Dan Bolton, managing director of Hi-Spirits, said: “Whether it’s a big night out with friends, pre-dinner cocktails, or a cool, refreshing drink in a pub garden, there’s an opportunity to drive sales of long drinks and cocktails from the May Bank Holiday right through to the autumn.

“We’ve looked at the different types of occasion, as well as different styles of on-trade operation, to come up with summer drinks that have strong customer appeal whatever the weather brings. That ranges from signature serves such as the Scapegrace Gin n Bit, made with bitter lemon, to simple twists on popular serves like the Buffalo Trace Apple Julep and RedLeg Ginger Mojito.

“Cocktails with food is also a growing market. Serves such as Buffalo Trace & Ginger Ale with barbecues, and Southern Comfort lemonade with Lime to accompany fried chicken, are simple matches that tap into summer street food trends. For casual dining outlets, the Tails premixed cocktails range is also a way to serve high quality cocktails quickly and simply.

““Presentation is key – customer enjoying long drinks served with plenty of ice and fruit garnish, especially from POS such as branded mugs and mason jars, are selling your drinks offer to the next thirsty customer who walks in.” POS available from Hi-Spirits this summer includes:

  • Southern Comfort Mason Jars and bar runners

  • Buffalo Trace Julep Tins

  • Tito’s Handmade Vodka Texan Mule Mugs

  • Broker’s Gin vintage coupette and highball glasses

  • Redleg: Cocktail stirrers, napkins, tent cards and wooden display signs
